Just got a Taco double cab with the TRD package this weekend, been searching to no avail for max tire size on stock suspension. Somebody help me out please!

Nevermind gang, found my answer just a few minutes later. Looks like stock size (265/70r16) is it without rubbing. 265/75r16 is reported to rub slightly. Figured I'd share what I found out so far.

My neighbor said he went "up one size" with minimal rub. Not sure what size he meant cause his wife took it to get groceries.

My Tacoma came stock with 265/75R16's, they didn't rub at all. I wouldn't go any taller than stock (31/265), 33's can be tight with three inches of lift, so 32's should definently be too big for a stock Tacoma.

33's are tight with 3" of lift? That's bad news. Is that under extreme flex or normal flex? Thanks for the input guys.

The front 33's with a 3"Cornfed lift, mounted on 16x8's w/ 3.75" backspacing, rubb only while the tires are turned/turning and I hit a big bump(i.e. speed bumps at speed or huge pot holes), basically they only rubb on rare occasions. I don't take my tacoma 4wheeling, too scared to scratch or ding it, so I'm not sure how much rubbing there would be in those particular circumstances.

I guess I'll go with 265/75's then and possibly MTR's or maybe the new trxxus tire. The stock BFG Rugged Terrains don't have crap for tread on them. I park it beside the 100 with Dueler AT's and the Duelers still have deeper tread with 30k miles on them than the BFG's did when I brought the truck home from the lot!

I run265/75R16s and prior to lifting my d-cab, I rubbed the frame at full turn! I ran my Taco this way at CM04 - Hell's Revenge and Gold Bar Rim. I'm now lifted 3 inches and experience no rubbing. I'm going for 33's when the BFGs wear out!
