You have my attention !!! Want more pics when assembled.
Please thankyou!!:bounce:

Kaymar out of Australia makes some kick butt stuff. I hope to see some of their own FJ designs coming out soon. They have more or less been a REAR bumper specialist for a long time. They have other stuff too now, but when it comes to Cruisers and Rovers, you can bet Kaymar will have function and fit for the FJ down to a science soon if they don't already. Man-A-Fre is their US distributor.

I remember shopping for a tire carrier about 8 years ago. Kaymar tire carriers seemed a little light weight. Looked like theyd be ok for pavement. I would like it strong enough to support the weight of the vehicle if it got hung up on a rock or ledge. Id sure look into it if they came out with one though but Id like it to be beefy!

Well I've seen a Kaymar bumper, swing away tire carrier and their jerry can carrier in person on a guys Discovery (a VERY built Disco by the way) and it looked plenty beefy on his rig and he goes off road regularly.

I wonder if they are making one yet. Id like to see one.

I got an email from Man-A-Fre and they are working on a unit for the FJ.

All Pro

Here is what I'm waiting for. The All Pro rear bumper with the swing away tire carrier and gerry can mount.

I found this picture givibg us a hint of what it will look like on the TLC site.

Nice...

I'm under the impression Kaymar only makes rear bars for Oz market vehicles. I once emailed them asking if they were planning to build a rear bar for the 4runner. "No" was their response. They stopped building rear bumpers for the 4runner after the 2nd generation (the last ones they got there). Look at it this way...they don't even offer a rear bar for the LC Prado, and that's been sold down there for 4 yrs already.

What price would you pay for such a bumper? Because of it's width it would be a dual pivot. dual jerry cans on one side, tire on the other. Anything less than 3/16" to 1/4" would not hold up to the weight. It would weigh about 140~150 lbs. Dual jerry's could be replaced with a ladder, perhaps.

Heres a pic of the all-pro bumper/tire carrier

Ditto I have a tire carrier stock where is the jerry can holder:bounce2: :bounce2:

That is their rear bumper, but that's the stock spare tire holder, as far as I know.

I have a Kaymar on my FJ62, it is VERY strong, no problem jacking on it to lift the vehicle. Also both tire tire carrier and jerry can carrier are mounted on spindles with bearings. If Kaymar comes out with a rear bumper, I would be surprised if it was anything but top notch.

It is my understanding that Kaymar will not fab for the FJ because it is not sold in AUS. Is this correct? Is Kaymar working on FJ rear bumpers, if so I'll wait for their product.

I heard from Kaymar that they would be working on a rear bumper for the FJ, and that it would be distributed through Man-A-Fre out of California. ARB had a FJ shipped to Australia to use as a guinea pig to fab new parts for, and I wouldn't doubt if maybe Kaymar paid them some money to access that Cruiser to get some measurements themselves?

We can only hope!
