hi all, just contemplating some engine swaps in my 62 series cruiser, it has a carby 3f petrol in it at the moment, i am looking for more torque down low as i do alot of towing, i can get hold of a good 2f with headers and an exhaust to suit (2.5 inch)

do 2fs drink as much fuel as the 3f? and it would be mated to the existing h55f:)

The H55F can be mated to 2F motor very well using with your existiong 3F bell housing.

IMHO, motor swap from 3F to 2F can't give benifit to you when consider the swappigng labor and cost.
I think carby 3F is better motor than 2F.

Oh, Min Seok

No way you're going to see enough torque difference to make it worthwhile. If you're serious about towing, regear your diffs or go back to stock tire size make the most sense money wise.

The 3F carb engimeis supposed to have another 20 hp over the 2F.
Its certainly much smoother and revs easier at highway speeds than a 2F
