hey i just installed some 36.5 /12.5 /15super swamper tsl sx's (bias) . i used airsoft pellets to balance them (9-10 oz in each) .

anywho i was wondering what everyone is running these tires at on the road and offroad (i was thinking around 8psi offroad) right now there at 27 psi on road .

i get some sweet wobble at 30 mph but after that they smooth out and then pull at higher speed .

it never did any of this with the old tires . i sorta expected this from them and use it mostly offroad , however if some one can recommend a better pressure for wear and drivablity then im all ears .

and yes i will go get a picture.

I would get the wobble figured out. More than likely there is an issue with your steering, bushings, knuckles, etc. that wasn't noticable with the smaller/lighter tires. When you increased the size it made it worse.

The PSI offroad all depends on how soft the tires are, and the width of the rim you have. Without beadlocks, if you are running a wide rim I wouldn't run them too low or you will lose a bead. Also the lighter the load rating on the tire will make a difference. Really all you can do is try it and figure out what works for you.

I have 13.50 tires on a 7" rims but they are E rated tires. I have lowered them to 9 PSI without an issue, but they have hard sidewalls, and the narrow rims acts as a bit of a lock.

I have the old school TSL Bias Swampers. I run them at 20# around town, 36# on the highway if I need to squeeze mileage, and somewhere around #7 on the trail. At #7 you need to keep an eye on them because they will bleed out air on tough obstacles. I pretty much check them out whenever we stop on the trail and fill from the CO2 tank.

I'm disappointed that the air soft pellets didn't work, I'm planning on buying another set and was pinning my hopes for a smooth ride, or at least terror free ride, on air soft pellets. 30-35MPH seems to be the magic number, faster or slower and I have no problem.

hmm all the steering feels tight , new tre's , knuckle bearings were just done . sag box is tight . no steering dampner . maybe i will make my own drag link and tie rod with some rod ends instead of the tre's

the sidewalls are pretty hard but im on 10's .

around 30 mph is just horrid , but it smoothes right out when your out of that 5mph range and then pulls to one side , i might try lowering pressure in the other tire to straighten it out .

i really have to go try them out offroad i think , the pickup is fine for around town . thanks

My 2 cents not that I am an expert on anything LOL
It very well could be the airsoft pellets. I had no issues with wobble old one of my other projects until i tried using the airsoft pellets.

I have been running the exacat same tires on 10" rims for the last 10 years. I keep them rotated regularly, and run about 28-30 psi around town. I have no vibration issues (other than when it has sat for awhile, but after they warm up, vibration goes away). No pulling, drifting, wandering, etc. 2 finger driving on the highway at 70!

These tires have extremely strong sidewalls. I run 7-8 psi on the trails, and i have only lost air in them 1 time (just filled with CO2 tank and kept going). They hardly even bulge at low pressures.

I dont know much about the beads, but regular old tire weights work great for me...

I get the vibration as described with my swampers. I figure it's either a frequency thing with the tread blocks, or the speed at which the balancing agent (coolant in mine) transitions from gravity distribution to centrifugal distribution.

i run mine around 12-13 LBS on the street , and 6 LBS offroad. 38.5 on 10 inch wide rims .
I get flat spots in the morning but it goes away pretty quick , I had death wobble ,ran a stabilizerand it masked the problem ,
rebuilt the front end and upgraded to 4x4 labs high steer, death wobble gone .no balancing of any kind on the wheels and no stabilizer
and it drives great now no death wobble with the front end all rebuilt and cleaned up . i did increase the knuckle preload also .
i run the tires this soft because that is the preassure it took to get the tire to wear evenly all the way across the tread .

i have been putting off hi steer for a while maybe its time to stop being cheap . stupid motorcycles are stealing all my money .

i was going to throw on a stabilizer to try and mask it also .
