Just dropped in to say what a great site this is- reading, I've learned loads about building and having more fun with my truck.

Had a 4Runner 2WD years ago- now the 4WD Tundra. Certainly SUVs seem to be the choice for expeditions but curious of I could hear some +/- on each. Always wanted an LanCru but having a bed has just been so useful for me.

And why couldn't you have a bed in a Landcruiser? Middle seats fold flat. Take rear seats out and put in drawers with slides. Now you have a nice flat platform for a double bed. Oh, and you have a nice roof top tent and your LC sleeps 4-5 people in comfort and hauls all your expo supplies in a secure manner. Best thing, you have a SFA which will go and go and go and go....

I do miss having a lot of inside storage area. I have an Access Cab, a fake four door, and the bed. Re: the bed, I just meant that recently I've carried stuff I wouldn't want indoors. I can't even believe I drive a truck- I used to hate them. But Toyota makes very good ones. But yah, LCs are awesome- I just read the 80 vs 100 article in 4WDTO

That's 4WD Toyota Owner magazine :D

You CAN have both.:D

I have a Land Cruiser pickup, and I find it to be a very worthy expedition rig.

Best
