This is very :princess: you have been warned.

We put the OME stock height coils + Bilstein shocks on the 80 last spring. It has always been firm, and never "absorbed" bumps like I was led to believe. Considering I am getting be an old man, I wanted a smoother ride.

I hate that the OME's have such ridiculously high spring rates, esp since I don't have any substantive mods.

So I removed the 3rd front spring - the sway bar, and now the thing rides like it is supposed to (by my standards).;) It does lean a bit in very sharp turns, but doesn't lean at all in the long sweepers like on the freeway. Straight ahead it's perfect and finally absorbs bumps and potholes w/o pitching the 80 around. Excellent ride all around!
