None of my business but how much for the 92?

Since you are kinda new to Cruisers I will let you know that the 91 & 92's have the same 3FE engine as an FJ62. The 80 series weights quite a bit more that the FJ62. The biggest complaint is that they have no power no matter what you do to the engine. In late 93 or 94 they put a different engine in them and have had no compaints with power.

When you test drive it, load the family and the owner in it and take it out in hwy99 and see if you can keep up with traffic and actually pass anybody. Good luck.

i have said it before...if you want a 60 or 80 series landcruiser best place to look is in the San Fran/Bay area Craigslist. As cool as they are off road most landcruisers of this vintage started off life in some yuppies driveway. Good thing about that is now they have a bunch up there stock, factory maintained and ususally selling them cheap. I have looked at a couple of 60's off of there myself. The cruisers were just much more popular up there than here in the Valley...so much more selection.

LOL

I guess a 1980 4runner/prerunner could be considered an "80 Series".

Quick question:
When and where are we all planning to meet up?
I'll be there sometime before 1:00. D'Animal and I are cruising in at the same time. There was mention of meeing int he early evening, having an offical meeting, then doing a night run.

Also, I have never been, what is the deal about camping? Can you just pitch a tent (hahahaha)? Or is something more formal needed?

No need to worry about camping, just pitch a tent. I know that the toyota trail team is coming and last year they set up a video that had a bunch of stuff from the day on it. I think that early evening would be a good time. Maybe 5 or 6pm. It does not matter to me I am there all day. Who else is all going to make it for sure.
