Surf N Turf 2007 - Pismo Beach, California on Vimeo

You may have seen this already but I recently found out about Vimeo which allows for HD video sharing. It's like YouTube but can handle larger files and better quality. This upload is 120MB and took over 20 minutes to upload from home. It won't take that long for you to watch it since it streams just like YouTube.

This home video was shot with Canon's HV20. It's one of the best consumer HD video cameras available. It is in between consumer and pro level, just not broadcast of course. Many wedding videographers have added this sub $1k camera to their bag.

Stills were taken with a Canon 30D and the video was edited with Sony Vegas 7.

I still have a lot to learn when it comes to the world of video production so excuse the mistakes. It's just our typical vacation video ;) Please don't scold me for leaving my tripod at home :frown

Thanks and enjoy.

Big difference in quality from the first 1. I'm trying it now, thanks.

Sweet! I thought no one saw me going up Competition Hill. Now I have proof. Thanks Poker Dawg.

Wow....I was wondering if anyone here was in the video.

I must thank you as well. We (son, wife, and me) enjoyed watching you and the others. You were my 3 year old's favorite rig that day. So much for my FJ Cruiser.

...that was a great weekend....

Nice vid! The quality is very fresh. What did you use to edit it with?

nice video!

I had some problems viewing it.... I played like I was on the tail of the download, where the video keeps stopping and starting. So I paused and waited for more to download, I had lots of space to view the download but it kept pausing and resuming...

I was using FF as my browser and am on a MAC. Any ideas? I use ADSL for internet.

It didn't play well here either. I have never had a problem with viewing YouTube footage. Dunno why you don't want to use YouTube, but there it is.

Mac over here ,I let it play through first (choppy) and then played it again seamless.
And it was super sweet it let me go full screen!
Thanks for the vid!
