Super charged fj-80?

Well, to be honest, we are looking at designing a kit for the aerly 3fe 80 series! The chargers are allready designed. The next is the intake and piggy back plug ins!! I am going to do this for a shop project, but wanted your opinion on if its worthy of selling this as a kit.

55% power upgrade and 35% fuel increase is expected with a full kit installed at around 5000-5500$

PS I posted this to you guys to see if there is any interest. I dont really want to get this idea out, quite yet!

35% increase in MPG? That's pretty impressive, how is that achieved? Most guys with S/C's claim a slight loss in MPG, especially if you are heavy on the skinny pedal. I noticed a slight increase in MPG as long as I'm easy on the gas with my 1FZ-FE. IMHO a 3FE could definitely use the extra power.

Is the kit you speak of using an Eaton M90 blower?

The blower is a custom blower, via red line / avenger. We are now scrapping the 3fe idea and going with the later model 80's
These have an inter cooler. It makes a whole lot of difference.
Compressing air heats it up, by not having an intercooler actually deacreases that power!! we will be developing this here shortly!!

they will be av. This will take a couple of months, as soon as we get a rig, to do the mock up. FYI the blower and cooler are billet!
these babies are sweet! We will keep you informed on the progress. Mabee this should be a STICKY, when we get started, hopefully sooner that later!!

That would be sweet. Is the basic blower/plenum mounting going to be somewhat similar to the TRD kit so that the IC could be purchase separately and the TRD parts modified where necessary to make it fit?

It's probably a good idea that you are working with the 1fz-fe motor because your customers will most likely have fewer to no fuel management issues especially the 95-97 models.

Third, the intercoolers will have thier own waterpumps!! how cool is that!! BTW they are small and way cool!!

Very interesting, I want to see this thing. Most of the intercoolers I have seen on mud are just air to air intercoolers and I have read that water coolers are more efficient as long as there is not a huge lag due to extra long plumbing and is does not block the radiator too much.

It's all good- I've got a tow rig I can use as my DD if I need to. (But it's only 2WD, I'll need it back before it snows too heavily!)
