All was not well with my recent water intrusion issue, looking for suggestions on next steps ASAP...

Haven't had much time to diagnose, but tonight I decided to look into why both passenger side and rear driver windows do not function and I quickly found my answer. Driver side fuses took on water and I forgot to pop the cover when I was drying it out...bigtime doh. Popped it off tonight and was met with the other forbidden white powder and multiple fuses coming out less a leg. Lucky me. This was roughly an hour ago, so it being almost 11pm I decided I should deal with it tomorrow when I have more time.

Now I'm wondering if I should have made that insurance claim my wife suggested, but no, I'm smarter than that.

I have never had to deal with water intrusion before and today I get to deal with it both with my house and in the cruiser simultaneously. When it rains...

So, if you've made it this far, who's dealt with a corroded kick panel fuse issue due to water intrusion and is there any hope in saving it without major surgery?

My main focus currently is being able to roll the windows down and making it to COTR2 this weekend and hanging out with my 13yr old daughter who still thinks I'm kinda cool, I think, and last minute decided she wanted to tag along with me.

Looks like the cover collected the water and it just sat there, no good.

been there, sucks but fixable, the big connectors in the kick panel are worse, very small connectors that break off. i just bypassed the connectors.

I don’t have specific experience, but if it was mine, I would disconnect the battery negative, take a photo of the fuse panel for reinstallation reference, remove all the fuses (noting which slots have a stuck fuse lug in them), remove with fine tipped tools all the stuck lugs, scour the fuse slots lightly with emory cloth, clean everything with contact cleaner, reinstall all new fuses with dielectric grease, reconnect the battery, and hope for the best.
