Glenn, looks like you got your new tires/wheels - what did you end up going with and how do you like the 315s?

They are the 315/75/16 MTR with Kevlar (Goodyear 10% factory rebate on till Mar. 13). They are very smooth runners on the highway (a bit noisier) and brought my high range gearing back to the equivalent of 4.11s with 33s. It is a little early to tell but they run so much better on the highway - I think my mileage has actually improved. My cruising range is now between 2,000 and 2,400 RPM.

The Mickey Thompson rims I bought were suppose to be 3.625” BS, but as measured they were 3.75” the wheels cleared the callipers and TREs fine - but the tires hit the springs and pitman arm on full lock to lock. I had installed ¼” spacers and that stopped the rubbing on the springs- I will have to adjust the wheel stop to stop the rubbing on the pitman arm. They are a tight fit upfront – and there is no way to run chains upfront, without a small body lift, I think the back will still fit chains. I like the firmer sidewall of the 16” when aired down, the Truxus when aired down, wallowed around the corners in the gravel.

These are still early reports and I will let you know more latter, with more miles on them.

They look good Glenn. Bummer about the BS on those wheels though. I assume you moved your front axle forward a little?
That's likely my next tire size so it's nice to have some input on the different models out there. Have you had them in the wet yet?

Hi Chet - still got the Sidekick?

haha looks familiar... me and jdog were in there before I left!

Ya, it was fun, when are you back in Vic?

Cool pic's I like the front bumper on the 62.

thanks Jay for letten me ride shotgun there, had a pretty good day i would think. little bit of pucker factor and found some new ways into the bush without gates...

J_dog: Rabbit (tyler) and myself built that bumper for my dad (yotawheelersr.) over the x-mas break for his Christmas present. glad u like it
