The Slick Rock - Deer Valley - Strtawberry trip still sounds good to me.

You might want to talk to Jack about taking a stock Taco on Barney Riley.
Speaking of Barney Riley, I heard the East access via Leviathan Mine is open to the public again. Some of the NorCal guys did a snow run in there a couple of weeks ago. It might be fun to do BR as a loop trip instead of an in-and out run.

My biggest problem with my Taco was the fact that it was a manual, just not enough gearing for the technical stuff.

That Bass thing looks like a great trip. Do you have the directions? I know from the past the people that post those, don't give out the directions too freely.

Oddly enough I was thinking about heading down that way to try to find a bird or six tomorrow!

I would be all over a trip to BASS Camp. Maybe that would be enough miles my Swampers might actually get warm enough to turn back round again??

Will, have you driven to Bass Camp? I, probably like others here, searched but couldn't find anything definitive regarding the exact location. One report I found talked about a 'narrow and steep shelf trail to access Bass Camp not suitable for anything wider than an ATV'. I thought that might be perfect for us :D

J&D along with my nephew and me lightly explored that area apart of our Explore Nevada 2009/"Un-Jarbidge" trip; we barely scratched the surface for the trails and mining history that resides there. We did end up camping at a super scenic spot perched high above the valley with an incredible view of Hwy 95 towards Mina. I'll never forget the giant full moon the rose over that valley that night...

It would be a great choice for an explore overnighter!

:princess: and I have also done a few short trips into that area, Silver Dike Mine and Pilot Peak (almost). We also did a little exploring in the Monte Christo's.

It would be pretty easy to spend a couple of days in that area even if you never found Bass Camp.

I concur. Maybe a weekend long trip... "the hunt for the Bass Camp"!

X eleventy or what ever we are up to now. :flipoff2:

We could do something on the weekend of July 9-10. Leave early on Saturday morning, we could be there in three hours (Hawthorne) and start from there. Might be worth it if we could stay until Monday, that would give everyone a chance to make final preparations on Friday and not have to rush to be back on Sunday afternoon.

Maybe a bit earlier in the year, May or June? It's getting pretty hot down there by July.

I'll post the info as soon as I can find it on my computer. I have the Garmin GPS Tracks and the Google Earth info. I'll post some pic's from my visit there as well.

That looks RAD!
Id like that if the Jezebel isnt running....

Rusty...
I dont think that S. park in DV is easier than Barney Riley?
All I can do it give it a shot. IIRC there were a couple of sections that took some line picking talent ( that is where you guyz come in).

I just wanna F*CKING WHEEL!!!!!
Im going CRAZY without a rig!!!!!!:bang::crybaby:

I've never been there, but I'm game for whatever. Even if I have to get a babysitter and go solo.

Thanks for posting primer7!

Jack: We came darn close on our Explore Nevada/The UnJarbidge Tour 2009!
