I am in the middle of a SAS on my 99 taco and want to know if all the stuff i take off will fit my 99 runner. the runner is a 3.4 v6 limited with that lame full time 4wd crap front end and the taco is a 2.7 auto with manual hubs. i know my 3 inch coilovers will fit but can i take my manual hubs, arb locked diff and everything else and swap it into the runner with no problems? it would be nice to have the runner locked front and back on the cheap. already getting some 80 springs to lift the back of it up some to match the front coilovers and since i am doing the lift i thought i might as well swap it all if it would work.

Not a stupid question at all....

Most parts from your Taco front end should fit the 4runner. It´s very common for 4runner owners to source Taco hubs from junk yards.

Check what Steve at Sonoran Steel has to say. He's very knowledgeable when it comes to 4runners and has written about this subject before.

good luck with your SAS project!

whats sad is i know i got the sas down i just want to use what i have to make my DD a little better. guess i am going to just dive right in and swap everything anyways lol. if it doesnt work then i can always get a different tranny/tcase for next to nothing.

nah, a build thread is kinda pointless since only a drunken monkey would put a fj62 axle in a taco lol. well the swapping began for the runner and so far we put the ARB on the front and next weekend will be the suspension but i doubt i can get the entire front end swapped in one day.

ah a taco too huh?

not the only one to put a 62 axle in a taco. on of my ttora guys has.

and ive got an 80 ff elock rear in mine.
