Last night I pulled into the driveway and closed the sunroof. The motor seemed to struggle but did get the job done. I greeted the kids and wife and didn't think about it again until this morning. As I was backing out of the driveway this morning I "opened the sunroof. It slide about half way back and stopped. Looking a bit overcast I got to work and put an Easy-Up over the truck.
At lunch I ran out and shot what looks like a long, skinny, cork screw shaft on both sides of the glass running on the rails of the roof with some silicone spray. It looked like rust or mud had been caked up on the system. After literally 10 seconds of soaking I hit the button to close it. It struggled for a moment and then... Viola. All seems to be great. I will disassemble and clean the system soon, but or now I feel great about my 2 minute "repair".
Cheers,
