Landpimp has some sort of eraser that fits onto a drill that spins it around and melts the stickers off with good results.

If they are cracked and brittle the results may not be so good

good luck, since its almost 25 yrs old the paint will more than likely be faded behind it anyways and will look like you have them on still once you remove them. I have seen several diff removers out there Check eastwood. Let us know how it turns out.

try the eraser. you can get them at any auto body supplier or your local shop may sell you one. trick is to remove a small area at a time so you do not heat up the paint under the decal. bounce back and forth between areas. the paint under the decal will be "like" new, so use some compound and a buffer to try to make the old weather areas blend with the deacal area.

I used a heat gun, a plastic putty knife and my fingers. A little Goo-Gone at the end to get rid of the adhesive residue and then a coat of rubbing compound and wax. You cant tell they were ever there.

That's what I did to remove the pinstriping from my 62, worked like a charm. I guess I should get to the rubbing compund and wax soon.

Wouldn't milder polishing compound be a better choice?

You can remove them with windex and a razor. Be very carefull with the razor and you won't mess up the paint.

To make it look like it was never there do a light compund, then polish then glaze remover then wax. Use a high speed buffer if you know how, if not use a TON of elbow grease.
