Tire shop stripped a lug nut when putting winter wheels on but luckily were able to get it off without any hassle. They didn't have any extras lying around, at least not in our size (14x1.5). Anyone have an extra lug they'd be willing to part with? I don't care about condition as long as it works. Will Paypal for shipping.

Thanks and Merry Xmas!

Sent PM. Will send one for shipping cost. Replaced all my studs and lug nuts after having to break off three. The rear is easy but the front takes a little effort and time. A little light oil, not anti seize, will prolong their life. Also, warn and watch the guys at the tire store when rotating. They get off on torqueing them into oblivion.

if you meant that they stripped the thread you may want to check the stud too before you put a new nut on.

I have a couple - and i recommend picking up a 14x1.5 tap and dye. The nuts are softer than the studs - however air tools allow one to render both lug and nut beyond serviceable if mis-threaded. And a bad nut can cause further damage if you try to 'straighten it out' on another lug. Hand tightening recommended for the first half dozen turns.

If you still need some - email at kevin2i (at) a i m (dot) com. Priority $5 for two.

I thought those factory lug nuts were crazy expensive?

I know it's the season but good on you guys for offering free help to another 'muder.

Replaced all my lug nuts and studs last year and they were over $9.00 each. Studs weren't priced to bad.

Thanks everyone for the advice and offers to help. jemsec is hooking me up with a pair of lugs: one for now and hopefully (not) one for later :) I'll get the studs looked at next time I'm in the shop.

Happy Holidays, Mudders!
