Yesterday After Work Took My Son For A Short Four Wheeling Trip North Of Town. On The First Steep Hill, Lost Traction In 2lo And Dug In, I Killed The Engine, But It Kept Running, I Have Heard This Called Diesling, For What Seem Like A Really Long Time. It Only Happend Once Although It Was The Only Time I Got Stalled. I Really Need To Fix My Ebrake. Trying To Start Again With My Brake Pedal Fading Got The Blood Pumping For Sure..qustion Is Is This Forewarning Of A Bigger Problem Or Is It Common For The Carburated 2f To Do This After High Revs On A Steep Hill???

i don't know but the All Words Start With CAPS was really hard to read.

Sorry on my work computer I have to have the CAPS on, sometimes I forget. And when you type all in caps it formats it to title case as you see....

I see....i was just giving you a hard time....i wish i could help you though.

Brake pedal fading might have been due to loosing pressure in the brake booster? But since it's a key safety system, suggest going through the brake diagnostic section in the FSM. There are procedures for checking the booster, master, etc.

Have you flushed out your old brake fluid? Brake fluid absorbs water over time, and replacing it can make a big difference in brake performance.

On the diesling thing...how does your truck run in general? I ask because killing the engine at an angle with large throttle is unusual enough that maybe that alone caused the run-on. However, if the engine isnt' running too well, and needs a tune-up...

Thanks for the tips on the brake system, would it be that same as in the fsm downloadable from birfield?
The truck runs good I think I have never been in another one. The engine did not die during the final revs, I was diggin in the back tires because I new I would have to get out, backing down was not an option and the hubs needed to be engaged to finsih the climb, however lloking back I think I turned it off fairly abruptly did not let it idle long if at all.

.

That should work - I think. Might be some brake differences from year to year - like self-adjusting rear drums, etc. But I guess the booster/master test procedures would be the same.
