been a while since I saw some snow...

some coming up soon?

North LA county / Gorman / Lockwood Valley etc snow run?

Hmm... Remember Jan 07? The Grapevine was closed for most of the weekend. It even snowed on Malibu... Be careful up there. I wish I could go but have to take care of sick gremlins.
Enjoy :steer:

Brought the urban assault vehicle cause the snow line is gonna be low, looks like a great drive through the Park on Monday...........

OK, so we gotta find some good places to go where you can actually go out in the snow, cuz the Man will likely close things left and right cuz these dang SoCalers can't drive worth a dang in the snow and would get hurt.

Last time I was able to make it up to Pine Mountain Club despite the road being closed but there was no great place open to go play that I knew of close by. 33 was closed above Ojai too. And the Gorman SVRA was closed too I think.

So we need somebody with inside info as to a good spot to go. A little dirt road otherwise unnoticed going out to a big playground? Anybody? Hat?

If you can get into the Upper Antelope Vally from your side you can pick your spot, I think the snow is gonna be on the valley floor there. We are looking at that here in Joushua Tree and Yucca Valley. Backsides of the National Forests should be open, might be a great San Bernardino Mountains trip, Holcomb Valley etc.

So, Eric, did you go? Looks like even the Antelope valley floor is about to be blanketed with snow. Let us see some pics!

no, there was no snow during most of the weekend as far as I know, so didn't go. Now stuck in town with work and all.
Heard that they had trouble up on Tejon pass again.
Some pics from Hat in the SoCal80 section IIRC.

I just flew in from Las Vegas -snow in Vegas at redocks - it was butt ass cold in the valley. Snow all across the desert on the mountain peaks. Big Bear looks like it got a fair share as well.

A good spot to wheel in the snow that does not get closed is down here - southern riverside county at Thomas Mountain or Santa Rosa peak.
