I woke up this morning to find my 1985 fj60 not in its usual parking spot!
stolen out of the front of my house in the montavilla neighborhood (91st & stark).
its white with a "NorCal" sticker in the back side window.
the worst part about this is that the smog pump seezed last week so It was missing the water pump belt! whoever drove it off, couldnt have gotten very far without it overheating. so even if I do get it back, I will be looking at an engine swap
...so bummed out right now...

please keep an eye out for it. as she could be lonley on the side of the road.
bike plates: #EQLU (I have to double check that #)

One quick word of encouragement. A real nice 60 was recently stolen from around my neighborhood in Seattle and it was found not to long after missing some stereo equipment but ultimately unharmed. These trucks are easy to steal. People will typically grab them, drive to a more remote location, take what they can sell, and leave them there. I bet you find it and if you have decent insurance company, can get engine work out of the deal as well if it comes to that.

I work in the Mall 205 area. I'm on the lookout.

Reminds me that I need to get mine back in the garage. I've become complacent.

When I walked out to my FJ62 this morning, the gas door was open, gas cap was gone, and my tank empty. Kinda sucks as I gassed it up yesterday.

Sorry to hear of your trouble, man. That is a nice 60 and I hope you get it back soon without any harm done to it. I wish I could help somehow. Good luck to you.

:frown:

DUDE THAT SUCKS!!!! I'll keep an eye out on this side of town!

I know this isnt tech but I hope we can keep these type of threads in here because I rarely ever go into the chat section and I'm sure others dont either.

I don't have a problem leaving it here as long as you don't post a bunch of threads in multiple sections about it.

Sorry to hear about that amigo.

Possible sighting in the Pearl today by my buddy Kevin - but then again you already saw my email Ryan ;)

I cross posted on the local Volvo forums for you too. Look at the bright side, if if comes back with a blown motor, we can do an LS swap.

PS - you sure Chip Foose didn't steal it for Overhaulin'? :hhmm:

Hey we all feel that kinda loss. But i'll do my part over here on the east coast .Not like i can see very far though. Hope all works out for you .Peace

Man that sucks. I just show your post on craigslist.
I will keep my eyes open for it in west linn.
If it was missing the water pump belt, i'm guessing they didn't get to far away. I hope you find it.

Good luck.
Brian

Esh posted a link to this on the Casacade Cruiser forum, you will have many PDX cruiserheads checking out any and every white 60.
Sorry for your loss, hope it is resolved quickly (and with western justice!).
