a guy at my office has a stock 1989 Landcruiser for sale. He just wants to get out of it. He has to pay to park in NY city. And is not driving it much. It's in amazing condition. No rust. No lift. No wrecks. The truck spent most of it's life in CA. It has good maintence records. Needs muffler, tires and a battery. What would the going rate be for a truck with 120 k on the ticker and a couple of small needs be? I looked on kelleys blue book and it says 2500. I know that we all understand the worth vs book values. What would a fair price be to tell him? I'm an 80 owner but would love to have another toy for GCLC meetings.

According to your sig. line, if you think your '96 80 is slow, go ahead and buy the FJ62 and find out what slow is. Great truck, but IMHO slower than the 4.5L 1FZFE.

$2,500 would be a steal. I wouldn't pay more than 3,500 to 4,000 for it. Get it, sounds like it's a great find.

80's are demons compared to stock 6X's.
In excellent condition it seems as though many Cruisers have depreciated greatly due to the economic situation. I'd say $2500-$3000 tops.

Cmon man, you know the answer to this question. A rust free truck on the east coast with relatively low mileage? Try anything, but prepare to pay 6k.
