The Southeast TOYOTA Land Cruiser Association is closely monitoring how the 2020 Great Smoky Mountain Trail Ride could be affected by Corona Virus. COVID-19 has been declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization. President Trump has declared the situation as a national emergency. And, Gov. Bill Lee has declared a state of emergency for Tennessee. Sporting events, concerts, and other public events are being canceled or postponed across the nation.

At this time, the 29th Great Smoky Mountain Trail Ride WILL GO ON as scheduled. The health and well-being of our staff, attendees and their families is of utmost importance to us. With that in mind, we will continue to evaluate this fluid situation over the coming weeks. In the meantime, we are working with Windrock Park to prepare a variety of contingency plans in the off chance that we are required to reschedule the event. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at info@stlca.org or by messaging us on Instagram, Facebook or IH8MUD.

We appreciate you supporting the Great Smoky Mountain Trail Ride and look forward to seeing you June 15th to 20th at Windrock Park in Oliver Springs, TN.

Great Smoky Mountain Trail Ride
June 15th - 20th, 2020
Windrock Park • Oliver Springs, TN
Guided Rides • Camping • Food • Fun

For the safety of their employees, families and visitors, Windrock Park has made the difficult decision to shut down the General Store & Campground operations until mid April. The trail system will remain open 24/7 for permit holders. The Southeast TOYOTA Land Cruiser Association fully supports Windrock Park’s president Bill Lyon in his choice to put the health and well-being of people first. What does this closure mean for the Great Smoky Mountain Trail Ride? The GSMTR Committee continues to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation as it continues to affect all aspects of our lives. The recommendations by the federal, state and local governments are evolving daily. At this moment the GSMTR Committee is still hoping to hold our event the week of June 15th as planned. Although we are optimistic, we are diligently working with Windrock Park to have a contingency plan and potential postponement date in place. The impact that the government’s guidelines and orders are having on our sponsors and attendees is the driving force for these decisions. We know that some of you are being impacted physically, financially and even emotionally by this new reality. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with each one of you. The GSMTR Committee will continue to update you as the COVID-19 situation unfolds. Please reach out to us at info@stlca.org or by DM on Facebook, Instagram or in our IH8MUD clubhouse if you have any questions. We appreciate your support of the Great Smoky Mountain Trail Ride and look forward to seeing you soon. #gsmtr2020 #landcruiser #fj40 #fj55 #fj60 #fj62 #fj80 #tacoma #4runner #gx470 #gx460 #gxor #fjcruiser #100series #200series #BringThemAll #greatsmokymountaintrailride

Registration emails will be going out soon to everyone who registered this year. We're doing something new this year with waivers. The waivers will be done online. The link to the waivers will be in the body of the email. All you have to do is click the link and fill them out. There will be three total, an adult, minor (for those bringing children) and infectious disease waiver. You will sign these electronically. This will help us move along the check in process much faster thereby reducing the amount of contact made during the event. These must be done prior to arrival. If you have any questions about the waiver process, please contact us at info@stlca.org. We'll be glad to help.
