Thanks to a Fantasy Football payday, looks like I've got some funds to get the HG work done on my 1997 LX450. I simply don't have the time or patience to tackle it myself at this stage and I know it would be 6 months before I finished considering my work load.

Anyone have a strong recommendation on a shop in Greensboro? I've gotten a few recs on here earlier, (Webster's and Toyz Unlimited) but still looking around.

Thoughts?
 
Websters i have faith in as a shop and thats hard to achieve with me and has a courtesy shuttle to drop you off and pick you up .

Toyz unlimited has a lot of toyota exclusive knowledge which gives me a little piece of mind. Let me know if you want to try and organize a ride back to town if you chose to drop it off here. Glad to help if I can.

my roomate still has the oem headgasket sitting here for sale for half price of new if you want

it also may be worth the 20 bucks or so to order idaho doug's dvd on the HG and watch it a few times, loan to your mechanic to watch as well.

Thanks for the additional feedback Jason, leaning towards going with Websters. Pricing is a bit steeper than I hoped, but the 10% discount could help. Talking with CDAN on parts and all, but likely will be a couple of weeks before I can do anything. Hopefully I can still get that gasket from your roomie once I'm able to get the work started.

I'll PM Idaho Dan and see if I can get a copy of the video as well. Do you really think these guys will watch the video? Guy at the shop said they had done a few in the past and seemed confident of the work.

They might if you give it to them a week or so in advance.
Ive printed out mud threads and taken to them when in a time crunch and they were very thankful of the tip and the time it saved and charged me accordingly.

save 10% on labor at websters
save 25% on parts with cdan
and check out idaho doug not dan for the dvd
concrete jungle has the gasket here and available for 50 bux
start collecting, read some threads, learn up even if your not going to do it
consider the while youre in theres and the cautions other mudders have hit
