Hello to all,
I know 2004 is now a long time ago and lots of things have changed but I still think about all those TLCA members who assisted me along my way to whom I am indebted and most of which I have since lost touch with for one reason or another so I thought I'd post this.
The trip raised about £5,000 for cancer charity's in the UK, back then I didn't have any particular links to such charities, since then the guy I owed it all to, who taught me to drive off road and got me keen on Toyota has died from a brain tumour and now my brother has terminal colon cancer. Somehow it seems to affect us all one way or another.
Without the help and kindness of the TLCA members who offered me accommodation and kept my TLC on the road the trip would not probably have happened and the money would not have been raised. However my world changes I shall not forget the friends I made or their kindness.
