stick welding panels?

can i use a stick welder on my 60 sereis body panels? i just gotta tack weld some bits off metal to fill some holes.

It can be done, especially if you drill out holes, flange the donor panel and use fast fill rods. Here is a thread I posted on the very same question:

1/16" rod and low amperage has worked for me in the past.

Yes low amps....like 15-25. You kind of use the splat splat technique....like mig welding. Try it on some autobody sheet metal first.
