steering shaft size

Hi guys

Does any one know the size of the steering shaft in an '87 FJ60? I looked at Downey's steering shaft assembly and think that it might help my loose steering. I've tried some other things already (new tie rods and rebuilt steering box). Downey's shaft looks pretty beefy and the u-joints look bigger than the ones on mine.
