Mr. Spud,
Anyone who can Trail-Fab like that could be Elected Gov. of OK or AR.........Nice job! :)

Hmmm, I am not sure if that is a compliment or if you are insulting the Okies and Arkies???

Well, I subpose I will say...Thank you.

Cruiser Dan clued me in...My part is a Drag Link...Not a steering rod.

I've always heard that thing referred to as a relay rod. I am seeing the rod along the DS frame rail from the steering box, correct? Pretty good fix just the same.

I think you are right. The drag link goes from the pitman arm to the knuckle/tie rod on a saginaw system, which would be from the center/worm gear thing to the tie rod on the stock system.

We always carry jumper cables and welding rod for these occasions. :D

^^See link^^ It is labeled #6

This is the CCOT blow up schematic. They call it a drag link too. Yes this is the rod that runs down from pitman to TRE on front end, (parallel to the frame rail on the DS). It is visible by looking into the wheel well above the DS front wheel around the noon to 3:00 position.

One day I will learn to weld, then I will be dangerous.
