Was changing the oil in the GX tonight (normally drive the 100) and noticed two oil leaks goin on underneath. I’ve tightened the valve cover bolts so I’m assuming the PS pump is leaking? From behind?
The passenger steering rack boot also looked wet. From fluid inside the rack? Or from being wet on the road?

ide clean up the hoses on the PS pump and see if the leak is coming from there. The rubber hoses get hold and brittle and lose there seal.

When I rebuilt my front suspension the boots both had PS fluid inside them from the leaking rack. No indication on the outside though. I wound up replacing the pump, both lines from the pump to the rack and the rack itself along with the lower steering linkage.
