Take a look at the steering arms of a 60 and compare that to what your 80 knuckles look like. They're completely different.

80s are bizarre. The feature a larger birfield, a smaller diff, steering arms coming off the bottom towards the rear and an upper bearing cap that is only a two-bolt affair. Weird in the extreme.
