now that's funny

3FJ40... it's only a matter of time before you get that 100...

Well, the problem is that there are 4 aftermarket chromed wheels on the 100 that I do NOT like. The spare is the original. Actually the 4 ARE OEM, but they were chromed by some shop...the thought of it!

That's my last haggle and issue. Either he deducts the cost of 4 wheels or simply trades me 16" wheels off the LX470 that's next to it.

I've seen stock 16" wheels go on ebay for as low as $25 per wheel...

Don't let the wheels kill the deal if the truck is good.

And Stockton Wheel can hook you up with steel wheels for about $150 each, if memory serves me correctly.

Sorry, I couldn't resist the cartoon. It's one of my favorites:beer:

We have steel wheels as standard in Aus. I am happy to do a straight swap for
alloy if we can work out frieght both ways. Not out to make money just get diffrent wheels that we don't have here

That's funny, I gave mine away when I picked my new LC up and didn't want the steel wheels....I even had trouble doing that, no-one wanted them.

non-US toyota steel wheels

Need some advice on using non-US toyota steel wheels on a 2000 US-spec 100. These are some nice looking wheels, but am wondering if they would only work on the live axle 100s, or this they would (or could be made to) work on an IFS 100? The 5-stud pattern looks right, but what about the backspace, etc?

The photo with the blue tarp is off a 100 series with live axle and are 8 " wide and they are solid steel rims, where as wilesy mentioned, the ones on the vehicle are split rims, (steel) and are 6" wide. The ones for the IFS cruiser with 5 studs look similar to the one on the tarp but have a different offset, they are also 8" wide. They sell on eBay for between $100 and $400 per set of 4 generally in OZ. There is a set available at the moment
