I know it's kinda late notice, but we are going to run Steam Shovel on Saturday. Not looking like John and Dan are going to be able to make it, so I have had to resort to going with my *eep pals.LOL! Right now it's me and 2 *eeps going. We are going to meet at 7 A.M. at Harmon Junction. I know that is a little early for you Reno guys, but we are trying to beat the heat as much as possible. Let me know,

Her 80th birthday. She loves to camp.

I am surprised at how much water is still running.

Great pictures, I have to make it a point to run that trail next spring.

great pics..too bad i missed this one......had a guy re gear my FJ and drop a front ARB......he ended up tearing the spead sensor and not sealling the rear diff prp......i still need to get him to redo the rear diff..but i would be up and running for this weekend...."hint, hint"...
 
I am new to the site but I enjoy taking my FJ40 out (since 1981 here in Fallon) and have been to Steamshovel several times as well as other trails in the area. Next time you go I would appreciate it if I could tag along.

Sounds good. I am not going to be able to make a "run" until I get back from San Diego on the 25th, but after that I am all in! My buddy is putting his Rubicon Express lift on his *eep this weekend, so we may head to Rattlesnake Mountain to play a bit and see how it does, your welcome to join if we go. Let me know.....

Like I said above, not a run, but we may play around at Rattlesnake Mountain Saturday. Bit of a ride from Reno to play around on our little rock pile, but hey, we can do a BBQ or something maybe. Alabama has an off week this Saturday, so I am FREE!! Can't miss my boys playin'! Let me know if you want to do something.

Good deal. Hopefully his lift will come in Thursday or Friday and we can get it all ready to go with no hitches....but we all know how shipping can be sometimes. We will definately get together Saturday at sometime or another. I'll be in touch in the next few days.

What does your cruiser look like? I don't figure I have seen it in town or I would have probably ran you down and hit you up to go on a ride. LOL!
 
I have been driving my blue 1981 around since I got it new at the old Fallon Ford (now Fallon Auto Mall), but it kind of sits in the garage and doesn't go out much anymore. I drive a 73 Cruiser and it is beige with a soft top. I didn't get it new but have spent some time fixing it up. It isn't stock anymore, SOA, lockers, 350 etc. Hope to see you for a run and we can give it a workout. Mark

I am jealous as hell of you. Definately have to get together this weekend.
 
Don't be, it aint pretty, just a crawling Cruiser. If you found the log at Steamshovel you may have seen a couple of my entries - one signed "all toyota". I will check the forum and feel free to send an email. Take Care
