I just got back from the Toyota dealer. The first guy did pretty good on the prices for my intake removal parts, but the next guy apparently has stock in the company. I seem to remember the starter contacts costing less that $12 each and $28 for the plunger.

or am I just misremembering?

Those are the prices that I remember.

Some dealerships use a price elevator. Recently, a wise man taught me this.

The local dealer here in Medford, Oregon does this. They jack the prices higher than list and then let you think you are getting a discount by giving you the 20% off that they had already marked it up. If you know what the prices should be, it can definately be in your favor when you go to buy something.

BTW, I recently aquired a new favorite dealer.
