Stave Lake-Cypress Point

Any of you guys been ever been up there? I started a thread http://bb.bc4x4.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=96219 to see if I could get some answers about what happened since last summer when I was there.

The bridge has been totally deactivated and no access anymore..unless you want to hike, but that aint gonna happen with a little family anytime soon.

you mean the bridge beyond where the river meets the lake or one of the bridges to get down to the lake. the bridge beyond the lake has been gone for a long time. i have not been down to the lake in a couple of years but it was a popular camping spot so I would be surprised if they cut off road access.

....the bridge beyond the lake? I'm not sure about that one, are we talking about the same place?

The bridge I'm refering to that has been removed is a couple of hundred feet past where you have to go around the boulder pile.

right at cypress point at the bottom down by the lake at the camp site there used to be a bridge across the river and the road kept going. it is long gone. I'm guessing from your description that the road is now closed much further up.

Oh, I think you're talking about where the 'parking lot' is I guess. Yes, that bridge is long gone.
