Just need come confirmation on this one. My 98 has started to exhibit some strange issues with the ignition lately.
ISSUE 1 - It thinks the key is in the ignition occasionally after I park and I cannot lock the doors. The solution is to get back in the truck cycle the key and remove it again.
ISSUE 2 - Starting to get some stammering or hesitation when starting. It's done this a couple times, but it seems like the ignition connection is not 100%.
I assume the best solution is to just replace the entire ignition barrel, but I wanted see if anyone else has had this issue. I see lots of threads about the ignition lock breaking, but not much on this.
