Went out to warm up the Hundy this am and it wouldn't idle. Cranked fine, sputtered then died. Pressed gas pedal and revd it up for a minute or so, now cranks and starts/idles fine. Any ideas? Fuel filter, pump, power pack going bad? It is probably the coldest it has been if that helps.

Could be such a wide variety of things, hard to know where to respond. How long since it had a tune-up? Cold temps always bring out the weaknesses that didn't show up in the warm days. Could be anything from bad gas to injectors to spark plug wires dirty. Any Check Engine Light?

Maybe someone has a better idea but the cold would make me think it was condensation in a line or on a sensor. It rarely gets below freezing here but when it's colder the start is a little rougher.

clean the throttle body and MAF sensor too.
that really helps to regulate the idle.

Thx. No CEL, I will start with tune up stuff like plugs & fuel filter. Is the pump in the tank & on the frame rail? I don't have a manual yet :(
What year? I think mine is an '04 shop manual on pdf, I can try sending you a copy when I get home next week. Easiest is Skydrive if you have an Outlook or Hotmail or some kind of Microsoft account. I'm not sure how big the total file is, but Skydrive seems to work best for big files.

edit: just checked it is an '04 manual, and it's on my Google Drive if you have Google I think I can send it from the road.
