ok guys....I've gotten great advice/information from u guys and I really appreciate it.....I almost feel bad cause I ask so many questions....well Today....I went to start my truck and it wouldn't turn on....Its been starting good until today....I just put in a new battery a few months ago....well I turned the key and all I heard was "rugh....rugh....rugh"....it was turning very slowly....actually the first attempt it turned quickly but didn't start....then it was turning very very slow....I tried jumping it but that didn't help at all....could it be the alternator? My voltage was at 12 (which is what it usually is at when I turn it on)....what do you guys think? Thanks

if it wouldnt even turn over with cables hooked up i would look at your terminals and make sure everythings tight and the wires are all good

my mechanic said the alternator and battery were good, the terminals were loose (thanks sears auto) and that the starter was bad....so starter was the problem.
