Need some help with a 92 land cruiser starting problem
I6 engine
Symptoms......
Truck starts and runs fine when cold
It never dies or falls on its face while being driven
Once it warms up if you shut it off then try to start it ...it cranks fine but gets no spark from the coil. Checked each contact on the plug into the igniter (already checked coil and igniter they are fine)........from left to right with the clip on top this is what i find:
When cold
pin #1= +5v with key on#2= 1.5v while cranking #3= 12v #4 N/A #5 12v
When Hot
pin #1= +0v with key on#2= 0v while cranking #3= 12v #4 N/A #5 12v
What could cause pins 1 and 2 to lose their power......this happens on a consistant basis when then engine heats up.
Any ideas???? Computer.....faulty sensor???
