Starting my search for an 80.

Hey guys,

I've started my search for an 80. Probably want a 93, or 94 and hope to find one with lockers. I haven't had much luck on craigslist lately, so if any of you see something around town for sale please pass the info along if you don't mind.

Depends on the rig. This will also be my DD, so it can't be too wild. I'm hoping to find a soccer mom vehicle, or something fairly close to stock so I can make it exactly what I want.

But to answer your question I'd like to keep it under $5k.

I would go with a 96 or newer, for the OBDII, if you can find one in your price range.

You may want to include the Lexus 450 in your search? I have been told that the percentage of trucks equipped with lockers is higher with the Lexus'. Also, I seem to recall being told that the '93 & '94 LC with ABS came equipped with lockers. Finally, the '95s have OBDII but it is not utilized in the GS emission test (they still run the sniffer on my wife's '95, but it has the OBDII for repair diagnostics).

Not all of them. My '94 had four wheel disc and ABS, but no lockers. FYI.
