Spindle assembly is from IPOR. So far, I have about $55.00 in this thing, and I think I will get it finished for under $100. I have about 70% of the fab work for the spindle/bumber mount completed, and that is all. Should have the whole thing done in about a week, since I am going to be travelling this weekend.

The idea is that I will connect the bottom and LH sides with 1/4x1" stock, similar to the right side. This will act as a gusset for the 1/2" stock the spindle is welded to as well as taillight protection. Not sure if that makes sense, but I will post some more pictures tomorrow night once that it done.
The swingarm will be made from 2x2x1/4" square stock. I want to add a jerrycan and cooler rack, but not sure about all that yet.

Couple more pics...I'm using 1/4" flat stock to bolt to the crossmember. I am added a 3rd bolt on the rh side of the bracket (you can see where I started to drill the hole) for triangulation to add support for the moment arm.
