Standard M416 wheel/tire combo?

I am getting a standard M416 wheel,(Thanks Womacje!) which I understand is a 4.00 X 16.00 rim size. My question is what tire have you all used on this rim? Maybe more pertinent, what is the largest(tallest) tire I can fit on that rim? It will be my spare... and I have 33" X 10.50 as the main tires now on 7" rims.

I am using 235/85r16 tires on mine. They work fine. A little bit smaller would look better though. The 235/85 tires really fill up the fenders.

I would have gone with new military tires, but they are too expensive.

Any pics of your tire combo? I am going to be taking my trailer cross country and figures that it might be a good idea to replace the original 1966 military tires first!
