I realize this has been beat to death, but I just have to vent. As a victim of "squeaky clutch" syndrome, I figure Toyota would do the right thing and fix it. I mean, only about 1 out of every 10 (it seems) with a manual transmission has this problem. Nope, we didn't report it before the sacred 36,000 mile mark (etched in Japanese marble somewhere on Mt. Fuji), so we won't be covered if we get it fixed. Throwout bearings just shouldn't be failing at this rate. I love Toyotas but the company really sucks sometimes.

Alright, I feel a little bit better.

Serious question - what are the ramifications of driving around with a squeaky clutch until they (God forbid) issue a TSB? Maybe if someone gets seriously hurt we can bring a class-action suit.

i have had the new fix and it the worst one yet only got 9000 miles before the bearing was making noise again. Get the pdm kit ,in a good aftermarket clutch and be done with it

call up toyota and c if thay will good will. tel them its your 4 toyota and some times thay will good will it and fix it some times thay dont but its worth the 15min of your time.
