One of the lame reasons for failing inspection was that my eBrake light on the dash wouldn't go out. Of course it did as I left the inspection station but then turned back on a 1/4 mile later... rrrrrr So I've checked the little relay switch thingy under the lever and it seems to function but who knows about the internals. If i disconnect it, the light still stays on.

So it'll turn off sometimes but for the most part it stays on. Seems to dim a slight bit when the brake is disengaged but it still usually stays on. Any ideas?

it also comes on if the fluid level is low, or if the booster is faulty. so check those out. of course the little swich on the brake lever could be faulty.

i've had it happen before, and it was the fluid level.

...Same here, it happend the 1st week I had my cruiser, and it drove me nuts trying to figure out what was making the damn thing stay on. Then I pulled out the manual and it all made sense. :D
