spring question

this is probably a stale topic, answered numerous times already, but are fj40 springs and fj60 springs really interchangeable? or am i correct in thinking that 60 springs are longer?
I've read that the Rough Country FJ40 4" lift springs for $500 fit a 60/62 series with some elbow grease. not sure to believe this. but if it lifts a 40 4", then can those same springs still lift a 60/62 that high???

No, 40 srings & 60 springs differ in width too . . .

No, 40 and 60 spring bushings differ in width, the springs are the same width (basicaly). However, 60 springs are longer..

And 60 springs are a different spec weight wise too because a 60 is heavier than a 40.
