Well I finally got the rear spring packs in that Brian gave me. I had a box with some new stuff in it which made the install possible. It raised the rear up 2 inches.

Now for the front.... I have three options to take.

Option One:
Just install the longer add-a-leafs in the stock front packs and call it a day.. hope it raises it up at least 1" but not more then 1.5"'s.

Option Two:
Pull the factory front packs out.... combine the front and rear packs and see if they help level out the pig. ? Maybe add the add-a-leafs?

Option Three:
Install the factory rear springs I just pulled, break them down and clean them up and mix the leafs to help even out the packs and then install them in the front. I would need to move the hangers as the rear springs are about 3.3 inches longer then the front springs.

I know 4Crawler... we spoke a number of time about blending leafs to make a custom spring pack.... one thing is those are SOA not a SUA like mine. So you can stack more then one leaf and still get a lift..... not so sure on a SUA what it would do... might have an opposite effect.

I thought his rough measurement of the spring load method for different springs would at least give you or someone doing this an educated guess on which springs to mix... maybe it is a calling to SOA ;) then mix your pack. My SOA is with worn stock springs, has one added leaf in the front and two in the rear to get the slight lift and ride once they settled. I think trial and error is the only way even SUA but you're in undocumented territory.

I wouldnt mind doing an SOA but I dont have the resources locally or the money to have it done properly.

Let us know how your pack ends up though, I still plan to put my rears up front on the 4runner but it is really interesting to do it with a pig SUA. Do you think the concept of a 'drop spring hanger' would 'level' it out in the front without having to use stiff leaves? From what I understand, the stock height springs can be used if you 'drop' the spring hanger a couple of inches....
