A couple of weekends ago we went out looking for some Geode beds in the desert. Got a few good pictures of the adventure.

On the way there, I was specifically looking for the wild horses. Found 'em

Had to drive to the top of a mountain to see them up close. No real problem- with the 80.

High view of the west desert. There are hundreds and hundreds of dirt roads that lead who-knows-where. Pick one and drive..

I miss the mountains and hills, just to flat out here in Iowa.

Yes, yes it is.

10 years there was enough, I find myself sitting on my back porch just STARING at the mountains.

I can't believe how big the boys are!!! Leif is sooo adorable!

Nice pics Art.

I used a wet saw to cut the geodes open today. I'll have to take a pic of some of them tomorrow. They are really nice. I'm just too tired right now....

Can you please send me some recent pics of your truck...I may have gotten myself back into RC and may have bought an RC crawler and may have gotten an 80 Series body...and may want to paint it up and make it look like yours... Me so jealous...I need an 80!!!

I"ll see what I can dig up. You can start by dipping the entire truck in a can of white paint.

Yeah- I forgot. I'll try to remember to get some tonight. Sorry man!

Geodes.

Geodes are formed as air pockets solidify in lava flows. After a while the ground water seeps into these air bubbles in the lava and bring with it minerals. The minerals show up as the sparkly stuff.
