Is this to replace the 13BT vacuum case from Japan?

Yes, in a way. I did switch the fron half to a mechanical type, but the rear case has gotten a bit beaten up, etc, ect. figured it would be easiest to get a whole unit to rebuild/replace next time

That's going to be pretty rare. '86 and '87 BJ70 had them. Can't think of anything else in North America.
