Spline engagement question?

I'm using a 3rd gen drive shaft on my 1st gen 4 runner. I have right at 2 inches of exposed inner sleeve at normal height.

When flexed out I move less than half an inch further out.

For you guys who have put many miles on your double cardan rear shafts so you can see normal travel, is 2 inches exposed at ride level enough engagement where I won't have play on splines/vibrations?

This is a new drive shaft so I have now wear areas to go by. Vehicle is not running at thus point to test at 75mph. Thanks ahead of time.

The only thing I can offer is my 88 and my son's 91 had 4" of spline. Not counting the sleeve. Actual spline.

It appears to have 6 inches of spine, so I'm right at 4. Thank you.
