So, short version of long story...the front splash shield is missing after trip to Jiffy Lube by my wife.

Ironically, discovered this because I had our mechanic removing the broken bolts (heads snapped of two and one spinning) on the rear splash shield.

So, what the best way to source a used front splash shield in Cape Cod/Massachusetts/New England area? Any LC used auto parts out there you would recommend?

How about a source for the 12 mm head bolts used to mount shields - bolts look like inch and half or so in length. We need several of these for install and having spares makes sense. The local Toyoto dealer did not carry these for Land Cruiser, this really surprised me. I want these to be OEM or equal quality....they are nice heavy, well made bolts (so tells you a LOT of force was applied to snap the heads...GRRRRRR)

First, go back to Jiffy Lube to see if your splash shield is there. They likely have a bin of "lost and found" parts. I don't know of any local sources for used LC parts. You can try car-part.com that does a nationwide search. Cruiserparts.net also has new and used parts and they list the front splash shield for $145. You can likely order the oem bolts from them as well.

Been there done that on trying to get help from Jiffy Lube - suffice it to say - this is not a quality org dedicated to customer care - given this some thought and have decided the real mistake was ours for going there in the first place. really like to think I'm smarter than that but got fooled by thinking this was a fast and cheap approach to oil changes. It's not and the damage to the car is evidence of that. I don't need the hassle and stress of a court battle so - if I can source a used shield and find some (new or used) bolts - I'm back to even for a couple hundred bucks and hopefully a little smarter from here on out.

and for others thinking about Jiffy Lube - just say No.

Thanks for the parts leads. I'll check them out.

If anyone has any other thoughts on sourcing a LC front splash shield, pls do share.

One more question - Toyoto refers to this as a front Splash Shield...is there a more common name these auto parts recyclers amy be using for these guards?

Bolts are a little over 1"/25mm long, 8mm od, with a captive flat washer about 1" in diameter. You'll need 8 in total.

The splash shield is too small to lose, unless some lunk head at the Jiffy Lube tossed in the dumpster.
