My MTZs 33x12.5x17 on my stock wheels are rubbing against the UCA. I have had a few friends recommend the following:
1. Total Chaos UCA.
2. Spider Trax Wheel Spacers
3. New Wheels with better off set

Has anyone applied any of these possible solutions and achieved more clearance between the tires and the UCA??

Please advice. If anyone has pictures of the Total Chaos UCA sitting on top of the stock UCA. I would like to see if the Total Chaos UCA are shorter in length from the two bolting points to the uniball, than the stock UCAs.

I am pretty sure that this thread will help many other FJ owners fix their big tires problems as well.

Thanks in advance.

Per.

i have the same tire you do but on 17x9 dick cepek rims i beleave i have more room between the uca now than i had with stock rims and tires. a set of rims will cost abot the same as new uca if that becomes the question too. backspace on those rims is 4.53 inches

It its $ spacers are cheap, I have 2" on the front because I couldn't find a black spoked 22'" wheel with less than 6" of backspacing and need <4.5". 100$ for spacers.

Did you place spacers in all 4 wheels, or just in the front ones??

I run the spidertrax front and rear, the front to clear the UCA with my 34" MTR's on the stock alloys, and the rear helps with tucking in the tires. I've been running that setup for almost a year, and not a single problem with the spidertrax.. Only downside I see is having to remove them to machine the roters at somepoint, per recomendations you need to use red loctite on the adapter to your stock hub.

I got my spidertrax for both front and rear installed today. I have a 3" OME lift, with stock wheels and MT MTZ 33x12.5x17. I clear my UCA beautifully and I hope to enjoy my money until I reach state inspection time. I will be sure to have the guys put some loctite everytime they remove the spacer.

Since you installed the spacers, have you had any problems with rubbing against the body mounts or any other parts of the car, in either the front or rear side? I have the spacers in all 4 wheels.
