Hi all,
Has anyone used a SKF speedy sleeve on the front crankshaft?
This engine had a bad leak from the front crank seal. On disassembly I found a nick on the crankshaft surface.
Fitting the speedy sleeve on the crank. I am concerned that the flange on the rear of the sleeve might alter oil flow through the pump.
I would like to know if anyone has done this without a problem.
also, can anyone tell me the oil flow route behind the front crank seal?
I am thinking oil is pushed from the pump forward and then continues out the hole in the bottom of the housing behind the seal.
my fsm doesn’t show a schematic of oil flow and I haven’t been able to find one on line.
All help appreciated.
Thanks,
Joe
