I have searched and searched, but would like some more help.

My 115k mile 2002 LX has been a mall crawler and religiously maintained. And the AHC and ride are very good. Except when I pull a trailer - empty (2k lbs) or loaded (5.5k lbs). When pulling the trailer, I find the front end vibrates slightly. The trailer is properly loaded and the AHC is able to maintain the N height.

When not pulling a trailer, everything is comfortable. However, I do notice a slight bounce just after coming to a stop. I only notice the edge of my hood slightly bouncing, but don't really feel it in the truck.

Is one of the front accumulators (globes) bad and the system is able to compensate for it in most cases - unless loaded?

Any help or ideas?

Thanks!

I didn't search to find out if you ever greased the driveshaft. I bring this up bc I was getting the "thud" just after coming to a stop and it could be felt as a jerk. If you have not greased the driveshaft - I would before messing with the AHC. Just my .02.

Yeah, that doesn't sound to me like it's an AHC issue, instead more of a driveline/driveshaft issue.

Thanks for the feedback. I will re-grease everything. I have don't it within the past 10k miles, and more often on the rear to solve the clunk.

I do hear a squeak when going over bumps on the left front wheel. Maybe it is related.
